Jan Kay Ranch experience

Last weekend we were invited by friends at Aldersgate Church of Greenville to join their Family Camp experience. It was a time of teaching, refreshing, building relationships, rest and relax in an old style Texas range :) but also with wild animals - tigers, rhino, kangaroos, mountain lions, camels etc...
Our children enjoyed the time so much - our son waned to live there...
Well, the hotel we stayed in was great! On every wall were different animals and heads staring at our eyes.

Trip to Albania

It is kind of unexpected - but it is true! I am making a trip to Albania this May (9 - 20). The reason for this one is ministry. One of my favorite professors of Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Mark Young will come in Albania to do some teaching on "Understanding the Culture in Order to be More Effective with the Gospel". I can't wait for the time! It will be a rare opportunity for the CCC team in Vlora and for the other CCC staff. I appreciate Dr. Young's teaching style and way of thinking. It will be challenging but biblical and very helpful. Pray that God will provide for the trip and will lead me as I coordinate the activities of the trip.
It will be a great time to spend with my family and friends. While we have been enjoying our time here in States it is not easy to be away of family and friends.
And pray for my family who will stay here during that time. It is expensive for all of us to go back - and also we don't have much time because I am coming back to take summer classes.

Raising our children!

Dr. Dobson wrote a book titled "Raising Up Boys". We read the book years ago... and this time we were watching the DVD messages from Dr. Dobson. How important is to know how to raise well our children! While it is fun, it is not easy. Our son, Joel, is growing up very fast. He wants to know things - reasons - God - the World - other children - He wants to know everything!
Yesterday, he was watching a movie while Lavdi and I were talking with each other in the same room. After a while he asked us to live. He said: Mom and Dad, can you live? I am tired hearing you now, so please, go! Isn't that fun?
Well, it is clear that he wants our attention. He wants for me especially as His dad to be close to him. And I would love to. It is not easy to manage the time well and make time for him. But it is important.
